Terms of Service

These terms govern our daycare, boarding, and training services and your use of this website. Please read them alongside the agreement you sign at enrollment.

Last updated: July 2026

1. Services

Canine Perspective provides structured dog daycare, boarding, and training at 2926 W Lake St, Chicago, IL 60612. We are a licensed operating kennel through the state of Illinois, insured and bonded.

Enrollment is subject to the intake step that applies to your program, and to the specific program agreement you sign at enrollment, which controls if anything here conflicts with it. Daycare requires our 3-Day Daycare Evaluation at the facility. Dogs who have completed training and want to join our daycare pack still benefit from this discounted rate and slow introduction. Boarding is limited to daycare regulars and to dogs that have trained with us. A daycare regular has completed the 3-Day Daycare Evaluation and attended daycare for one month before the first overnight. Training graduates are exempt from that one-month attendance requirement; once they have completed the Evaluation, they may board going forward. Training begins with a paid consultation, which may be held in person at our facility, in person at Oz Park, or over Google Meet, at our discretion.

2. Health & vaccination requirements

Every dog must be current on Rabies, Bordetella, Parvo, and Distemper with Leptospirosis, with a clear fecal exam, and records provided in advance of your dog's first day. Titer protection may be substituted for the distemper and parvovirus vaccinations. We may decline or discharge any dog we judge to be a health or safety risk to other dogs, staff, or itself.

3. Behavior & the nature of training

Working with dogs, especially reactive and aggressive dogs, carries inherent risk. We use professional judgment and reasonable care, but we do not and cannot guarantee specific behavioral outcomes. You agree that results depend heavily on consistent follow-through at home.

4. Payment & cancellation

Fees, deposits, package terms, and cancellation notice periods are set out in your program agreement. Reservations for daycare and boarding require reasonable advance notice to cancel or reschedule.

5. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Illinois law, our liability arising from services is limited as described in your signed agreement. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
